"Sunk relief of the emperor Trajan offering a mirror to Hathor, goddess of love, music and dance. Trajan wears the triple triple atef crown while of the far left, Khonsu (god of the moon) wears the lunar disk. The relief appears on the outer wall of the Roman mammisi (birth house), part of the Temple of Hathor, Dendera Egypt. Dedicated to Hathor, goddess of love, beauty, music and motherhood, the main temple dates from the Graeco-Roman era although a temple stood on the site during the Old Kingdom."
