People and cars on bridge over Corinth Canal near Athens in a sunny day. The canal was completed in 1893, connecting the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It is about 4 miles long and 70 feet wide. It is used by small cruise ships and tourist boats since it is too narrow for modern cruise ships.
