London, England - June 10, 2015: Seen from the South Bank of the River Thames, a 62-gun salute at the Tower of London being fired to celebrate the birthday of the Duke of Edinburgh. The 62 rounds at the Tower are fired on all Royal anniversaries - a basic 21 with 20 more because the Tower is a Royal Palace and Fortress and then another 21 “for the City of London”. The gun salutes always attract large crowds of tourists. The salute at the Tower of London is fired by the Honourable Artillery Company at 1.00 pm.
